In the Heart is the fifteenth studio album by the funk/R&B band Kool & the Gang, released on November 21, 1983. Four singles were released from the album, with two singles becoming major hits on the US Hot 100. The first single, "Straight Ahead", failed to chart on the Hot 100, but the second single, "Joanna", soared to number two on the charts in the US and UK, and hit number one on the US R&B chart as well. The third single, "Tonight", brought another major hit as it peaked at #13 on the US Hot 100. The fourth single "(When You Say You Love Somebody) In the Heart" did not chart on the Hot 100, but became a moderate hit on the US R&B chart.

Blondie "Rapture (Single & Video)"

"Rapture" is a song by American rock band Blondie from their fifth studio album Autoamerican (1980). Written by band members Debbie Harry and Chris Stein, and produced by Mike Chapman, the song was released as the second and final single from Autoamerican on January 12, 1981, by Chrysalis Records. Musically, "Rapture" is a combination of disco, funk and hip hop with a rap section forming an extended coda.

"Rapture" was another commercial success for the band, shipping one million copies in the United States, where it was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and spent two weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, their fourth and last single to reach number one. It was the first number-one single in the United States to feature rap vocals. The single also peaked at number three in Canada, and number five in Australia and the United Kingdom.

The accompanying music video for "Rapture" made its US television debut on Solid Gold on January 31, 1981, and not only became the first rap video ever broadcast on MTV, but was part of its first 90-video rotation. Set in the East Village section of Manhattan, the "Man from Mars" or "voodoo god" (dancer William Barnes in the white suit and top hat) is the introductory and central figure. Barnes also choreographed the piece. Much of the video is a one-take scene of lead singer Debbie Harry dancing down the street, passing by graffiti artists, Uncle Sam, an American Indian, child ballet dancer and a goat. Fab Five Freddy and graffiti artists Lee Quiñones and Jean-Michel Basquiat make cameo appearances. Basquiat was hired when Grandmaster Flash did not show for the shoot. The UK 7" version of the song is used in the video.

The Very Best of the Bee Gees is a greatest hits album by British/Australian pop group the Bee Gees. It was originally released in November 1990 by Polydor Records, around the time as the Tales from the Brothers Gibb box set. The album was primarily aimed at the European market, as shown by the exclusion of the US hits "Holiday", "I Started a Joke", "Lonely Days", "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart" and "Fanny (Be Tender with My Love)".

The album has been re-issued several times, including a 1996 version which dropped "You Win Again" and "Ordinary Lives" from the track listing.

Bee Gees "Love You Inside Out (Single & Video)"

"Love You Inside Out" is a 1979 hit single by the Bee Gees from their album, Spirits Having Flown. It reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for one week in June 1979, interrupting Donna Summer's "Hot Stuff", becoming the third single from the album to do so. In the UK, the single peaked at No. 13 for two weeks. It was the ninth and final number-one hit for the Bee Gees in the US. The trio would not return to the top 10, for ten years, with the song, "One".

The song is a slow funk groove number. During recording, the Bee Gees played a prank on their manager Robert Stigwood, sending him a version with the line "backwards and forwards with my cock hanging out" to see if he was paying attention to their work. For the released version, the line is "backwards and forwards with my heart hanging out".

"Love You Inside Out" was a milestone single for the Bee Gees, earning them a permanent place in rock history when it reached number one on the US Billboard charts.

1. It was the group's ninth number one single in the US (tenth if you include "Lonely Days", which reached number one on the Cashbox charts in 1971), more number one singles than any other 1970s artist.
2. It was The Bee Gees sixth consecutive number one single in a single year. The only other group to achieve this was The Beatles.
3. It was the third consecutive number one single from Spirits Having Flown, which followed three consecutive number one singles from their previous album Saturday Night Fever. At that point, no other artist had ever had three consecutive number one singles from two successive albums.
4. At the time, it placed them fourth among all artists with number one singles (9) and fourth in total weeks (27) at number one.

The song debuted at #28 in the United Kingdom.

"I've Been Thinking About You" is a song by British-American band Londonbeat from their second studio album, In the Blood (1990), produced by record producer Martyn Phillips. Released in 1990 as the first single from the album, it became a major worldwide hit, reaching the number-one spot in more than 10 countries—including Australia, Canada, Germany and the United States—and peaking at number two on the UK Singles Chart. In 2013, Australian music channel Max placed the song at number 394 in their list of "1000 Greatest Songs of All Time".

It was released in 1990 as the lead single from In the Blood. The song is written by band members Jimmy Chambers, George Chandler, Jimmy Helms and William Henshall, and was produced by Martyn Phillips. It hit number-one on the US Billboard Hot 100 on April 13, 1991, having hit number two in the United Kingdom the previous year. The song also topped the singles charts in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Zimbabwe as well.
