GTR "GTR"

GTR is the 1986 self-titled debut album and sole official studio release from the short-lived supergroup GTR. The album peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard 200 chart, and the single "When the Heart Rules the Mind" reached No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. Another single, "The Hunter", peaked at No. 85. The instrumental piece by Steve Howe, "Sketches in the Sun", resurfaced on his solo album Motif Volume 1 and again on his Anthology album. Steve Hackett's "Hackett to Bits" was a simplified version of the title track from his Please Don't Touch album. (It had no connection with the similarly titled "Hackett to Pieces" from Highly Strung.) Asia later recorded their own version of the Downes-penned "The Hunter" for their 1997 compilation album Anthology.

The group, founded by ex-Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett and then ex-Yes and ex-Asia guitarist Steve Howe, disbanded in 1987. Geoff Downes, another ex-Yes and ex-Asia member at the time, produced the album.

The band's name, anecdotally, comes from the marking on the studio mixing console that indicates the 'guitar' volume control.

The album was reissued in 2001 in a remastered CD edition. The album was out of print, with the exception of a Japanese mini-LP CD released in 2006, until a deluxe 2-CD version was released in 2015.

In April 1997 Steve Hackett released the neo-classical influenced album A Midsummer Night's Dream, accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the album spent several weeks in the Top 10 of the UK classical charts. 

Steve Hackett "Watcher Of The Skies: Genesis Revisited"

Genesis Revisited, called Watcher of the Skies: Genesis Revisited in the US, was a project put together by Steve Hackett to pay tribute to his former band Genesis. It mainly features songs originally released by Genesis during Hackett's tenure with the group (1971–77). The previously unreleased song "Déjà Vu" was started by Peter Gabriel in 1973 during the Selling England by the Pound sessions but not finished and Hackett completed the song for this album. There are also two new songs, "Valley of the Kings" and "Waiting Room Only"; the latter is named after and loosely inspired by "The Waiting Room", an instrumental from the 1974 Genesis album The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. The japanese version of the album contains one extra song called "Riding The Colossus".

Steve Hackett "Blues With A Feeling"

Blues with a Feeling is the 11th studio album by Steve Hackett, released in 1994. As the title denotes, Hackett explored his feelings about blues music. The tempo is much slower than other albums, but it does allow his listeners to see another side to his personality as well as his playing ability.

On June 24, 2016, Esoteric Recordings (a Cherry Red Records label) released a remastered version of the album, adding two new bonus tracks that were recorded specifically for this release: "On Cemetery Road" (3:07), and "Patch of Blue" (4:37).

Guitar Noir is the tenth album by Steve Hackett, released in 1993. On this record, he started turning to a much darker guitar sound, yet still retaining the fluidity he has become known for.

Steve Hackett "Momentum"

Momentum is the ninth solo album by guitarist Steve Hackett. It is Hackett's second album consisting mainly of classical guitar pieces. Hackett's younger brother, John, plays the flute on the album. The album was re-released on Hackett's Camino Records label in 2001, with three bonus tracks.
