Lead Vocalist is a compilation album released by Rod Stewart on 22 February 1993 (see 1993 in music). It was released by Warner Bros. Records in the UK (WX 503) and Germany (WEA 9362 45258-1/2), but was never released in the US. Three songs from this album either had previously or would be released as singles: "Tom Traubert's Blues", "Shotgun Wedding", and "Ruby Tuesday".
Lead Vocalist was released on the heels of Rod receiving the prestigious Outstanding Contribution or Lifetime Achievement Award at the BRITs. The album was advertised appropriately as a "celebration of Rod's glittering career." It opens with seven tracks from earlier in Rod’s career. Notably, four of these were not from his solo career. "I Ain’t Superstitious" was released while with The Jeff Beck Group, "Cindy Incidentally", "Stay with Me", and "Sweet Lady Mary" had all been released on Faces albums. Lead Vocalist closes with five new releases – all cover versions. The new releases were recorded at Woodstock House in County Wicklow, Ireland and Cherokee Studios in Los Angeles.
Every Beat of My Heart is an album by Rod Stewart. It is his fourteenth studio album, released in June 1986. It was released on Warner Bros. Records (WX 53 / 925 446-1). The tracks were recorded at One on One Studios, Can Am Recorders, The Village Recorder, The Record Plant, and Artisan Sound Recorders. It produced four singles: "Love Touch", "Another Heartache", "In My Life", and "Every Beat of My Heart."
Included on this album is the song "Love Touch", which gained popularity as the theme to the Robert Redford film Legal Eagles. "Love Touch" was written by Holly Knight, Mike Chapman, and Gene Black. The album also includes a cover of Lennon–McCartney's "In My Life", one of several times Rod covered them. It was released as a single which failed to chart. According to the liner notes, this album is dedicated to Rod's parents Bob and Elsie Stewart.
Camouflage is a studio album released by Rod Stewart on 18 June 1984. It was Stewart's 13th studio album and was released on Warner Bros. Records (WEA 925 095-1). Three singles came from this album. They were "Infatuation", "Some Guys Have All the Luck", and a cover of the Free hit "All Right Now". The album marked a reunion of sorts between Stewart and Jeff Beck, who plays guitar on several tracks, as the two had been members of the influential 1960s group The Jeff Beck Group.
All the tracks were recorded at Lion Share Studio in Los Angeles, CA. Grammy award-winning producer Michael Omartian produced all the songs except "Bad for You", which was self-produced by Rod. In the liner notes, a disclaimer alludes to the reason behind this (specifically mentioning that Omartian was recently "born again").

Blondes Have More Fun is Rod Stewart's ninth album, released in November 1978. As was the popular musical trend at the time, it is Stewart's foray into disco music, which although commercially successful, was critically divisive. The lead single "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy" became one of Stewart's biggest hits, peaking at No.1 in both the UK and US. The album has sold more than 14 million copies worldwide.
After carving a highly successful career throughout the 1970s as a rock singer, Stewart elected to follow the disco trend that was at its peak in 1978 for some tracks of this album. The first single was "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy" which became a number one hit in the UK, US, Australia and a number of other countries. Many critics panned the direction of song towards disco, but it nevertheless became one of his biggest hits. Stewart has since defended the song commenting that Paul McCartney and The Rolling Stones had also dabbled with disco music by this time. The second single was "Ain't Love a Bitch", which became a No.11 hit in the UK and No.22 in the US. The third and final single "Blondes (Have More Fun)" peaked at 63 in the UK, his lowest-charting single there at this time, but performed better in Ireland at No.23.
The album itself peaked at No.3 in the UK, being certified platinum by Christmas and was a No.1 hit in the US, where it went double platinum. It also charted within the top ten in a host of other countries.
Time is the twenty-eighth studio album by Rod Stewart, it was released on 3 May 2013 in the UK, on 8 May 2013 in Japan under the title "Time: Toki no Tabibito" (タイム~時の旅人~), and on 7 May 2013 in the US and Canada. The album entered the top 10 in the US and entered the UK Albums Chart at No. 1, setting a new British record for the longest gap between chart-topping albums by an artist, as his last studio album to reach the top spot was A Night on the Town in 1976. The album was certified platinum in the UK on 16 August 2013 and double-platinum on 29 December 2017. Overall, the album was the No. 7 best-selling album of 2013 in the UK. In the United States, the album has sold 141,000 copies as of September 2015. It's his first original music in twenty two years since Vagabond Heart in 1991.
"It's Over" is the album's lead European single and it joined BBC Radio 2's playlist in April 2013 and Kingstown Radio's new music file; the single peaked at No. 91 on the UK Singles Chart. In North America, the album's lead single, "She Makes Me Happy", peaked at No. 12 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. Both singles were accompanied by music videos directed by Cameron Duddy. The third single, "Brighton Beach", followed shortly after, with the music video directed by Zach Merck. "Beautiful Morning" was originally available by download in 2012 via a code found inside the CD booklet for his Christmas album Merry Christmas, Baby, albeit differing from the final mix included on the Time album.
In the UK, a deluxe 2-disc version of the album was released on 2 December 2013. It contains live tracks from his 2013 performance at The Troubadour, West Hollywood as well as all the bonus tracks previously available on the UK and US/Canada deluxe editions of the album; the live songs include 6 songs from the Time album as well as previous hits. Ahead of the release of the 2-disc version of the album, "Can't Stop Me Now" was released as a single and peaked at No. 22 on the US Billboard Adult Contemporary chart and at No. 199 on the UK Singles Chart. "Sexual Religion" was also released as a single in the US, where it peaked at No. 45 on Billboard's "Dance/Club Songs" chart.
