One Wild Night Live 1985–2001 is a live album by the American rock band Bon Jovi, released in May 22, 2001. The album includes live covers of Neil Young's "Rockin' in the Free World" and performance of The Boomtown Rats' "I Don't Like Mondays", with a guest appearance by their lead singer Bob Geldof. The album charted at #20 on The Billboard 200.

The duet of "I Don't Like Mondays" with Bob Geldof was performed at Wembley Stadium just two weeks short of the tenth anniversary of Live Aid, where Geldof performed the same song at the same stadium as part of the Boomtown Rats. He would later perform the same song almost exactly ten years later in London again at Live 8. This 1995 rendition of the song was previously released on a rare special edition 2-CD version of These Days. Several copies of the album misprint the year of the recording as 2000 however the actual year is 1995 when Bon Jovi performed at Wembley Stadium as part of the These Days tour. During the intro to the song, Jon Bon Bovi mistakenly welcomes Bob Geldof by saying to the crowd, "You should be proud to call him your own" despite Geldof being Irish, not English.

"One Wild Night 2001" is a new remix version rather than a live version. The difference between this version and the original Crush version is the length; the intro and other sections were cut out. This was released as a single for this album and featured a music video. The new version also features on the compilation album Tokyo Road: Best of Bon Jovi.

The live version of "Wanted Dead or Alive" was also released as a single and had a promotional video produced for it, this depicted live performances of the song and some backstage footage.

The three Zurich songs were recorded at the Letzigrund Stadium, and were also released on The Crush Tour DVD.

Bon Jovi "Cross Road"

Cross Road is the first mainstream but second overall greatest hits album by American rock band Bon Jovi, released on October 11, 1994 by Mercury Records. The album contains hits from all previously released albums from their debut, Bon Jovi (1984) to Keep the Faith (1992). The album also features two new tracks: the hit singles "Always" and "Someday I'll Be Saturday Night", as well as a new, updated rendition of "Livin' on a Prayer" entitled "Prayer '94" available only on the North American versions.

"Runaway" was never recorded with the current band, though at that time there were plans to put a "Runaway '94" on the album but it was never recorded. The diner located on the cover of the album is the Roadside Diner in Wall Township, NJ, near the crossroads of Route 33 and Route 34.

"Always", the album's first single, became Bon Jovi's highest selling single in the United States, spending six months on the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 and was also an international hit which helped the album peak at number one in 13 countries. Cross Road was the best-selling album of 1994 in the UK. It is Bon Jovi's best selling album in many countries, and continues to sell well. It has sold over 21.5 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling albums of all time.

In 2005, Cross Road was re-issued as a 3-disc box set under the name "Deluxe Sound & Vision", which included the original remastered album, a bonus CD containing B-sides, rarities and fan favourites, and the Live from London DVD. The original remastered album was released in 1998. A video, also entitled Cross Road, was simultaneously released, containing 16 of the band's music videos.

In the United States, the album debuted and peaked at number 8 on the Billboard 200 the week of November 5, 1994 with 84,000 copies sold, the next week it dropped to number 13 and remained on the chart for fifty seven weeks. It was certified four times platinum by the RIAA on October 15, 1998 denoting shipments of four millions. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the album has sold 4,951,000 copies in the US as of September 2011, including 324,000 copies sold in 2006.

In the United Kingdom, Cross Road debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and spent a total of five non-consecutive weeks atop the chart, later becoming the best-selling album of 1994. The album was certified six times platinum by the BPI. The album topped the charts in several other European countries, including Austria, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Switzerland. In 2007, it was also certified octuple platinum by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry for selling 8 million copies across Europe.

The album became Bon Jovi's first number-one set in Japan, where it has sold more than 1.1 million copies. It spent two weeks at number one in Australia and in 2010 it was certified eleven-times platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association for shipments exceeding 770,000 copies. The album also debuted at number three on the New Zealand Albums Chart, peaking at number one in its second week and later being certified sectuple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of New Zealand.

The album itself won Metal Edge magazine's 1994 Readers' Choice Awards for "Album of the Year" and "Best Hits or Compilation Album". Its namesake home video was voted "Best Video Cassette," and the single "Always" was voted "Song of the Year" and "Best Video Clip".

Blondie "The Curse Of Blondie"

The Curse of Blondie is the eighth studio album from the American rock band Blondie. It was released in October 2003, and peaked at #36 in the UK.

The band departed from bankrupt Beyond Records and signed with Sony Music. The Curse of Blondie had the working title Phasm 8, which was also the name of the tour they were doing before the release. Craig Leon, who had also produced their previous hit album No Exit, started work on the album, but it was four years in the making as the only demo tapes of the album had disappeared from luggage at a UK airport, and so had to be re-recorded.

Leon ultimately did not produce the album, which was largely helmed by Steve Thompson with Jeff Bova producing only one track, "Good Boys".

The album incorporates a rock-inspired arrangement style more reminiscent of Blondie's earliest recordings. Rhythms played include mostly rock ("Golden Rod, "Rules for Living", "End to End", "Hello Joe", "Last One in the World", "Diamond Bridge") and then dance-pop ("Good Boys", "Undone", "The Tingler"). Other incursions are Japanese traditional music ("Magic (Asadoya Yunta)"), reggae ("Background Melody (The Only One)"), jazz ("Desire Brings Me Back", "Songs of Love (For Richard)") and rap ("Shakedown"). The track "Hello Joe" is an homage to Joey Ramone, and includes a reference to "Blitzkrieg Bop" ("hey ho, hola Joe instead of hey ho, let's go).

The album was released with various bonus tracks in some territories, while the US edition included the music video for the single "Good Boys". The album was also re-released in 2004 in US on DualDisc format. The CD side contained the normal album, while the DVD side included:

The only single from the album was "Good Boys", which peaked at #12 in the UK and was a dance hit in the USA. Promo singles of "Undone" were sent to radio, but no official release was made.

The Curse of Blondie gained mixed reviews, some critics called it a good or very good album, while others said it was a downfall for the band. Despite the relative success of the "Good Boys" single, the album performed poorly, peaking at #36 in the UK and #160 in the United States. As of August 9 2005 it has sold 34,000 copies in United States.

The Bangles "Greatest Hits"

Greatest Hits is a compilation album by American pop rock band The Bangles. It was released by their record company, Columbia Records on May 8, 1990 to fulfil the band's contractual requirements; by the time of the release of the album, the group had already broken up. The album peaked at #97 on the US Billboard 200 and at #4 in the UK Albums Chart.

The album features the single remixes of "Hero Takes a Fall", "Walking Down Your Street" and "I'll Set You Free". It also includes the group's cover of Simon & Garfunkel's "Hazy Shade of Winter", which was released on the soundtrack of the film Less Than Zero, and had not been included on a Bangles album. It also contains the non-album B-side cover of The Grass Roots' "Where Were You When I Needed You" and the previously unreleased song "Everything I Wanted" from the Everything album sessions. "Everything I Wanted" was released as a single around Europe and Australia to promote the release. In the UK, a new remix of "Walk Like an Egyptian" was released instead, peaking at #73.

Audioslave "Original Fire (Single & Video)"

"Original Fire" is a song by American hard rock band Audioslave. It was released in July 2006 as the first single from the album Revelations.

Over a year and a half after release, the song rose back into the UK Rock Chart, at number 11, and a week later climbed to the top 10 at number 6. It was also a substantial rock hit in the U.S., peaking at number 3 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart and number 4 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, although it did not chart for several months.

Guitarist Tom Morello described the song as hard-rocking, but with a '70s funk and soul influence. "It's a jam," he said. "It's one of those songs where the genesis was a riff that I had for a very, very long time and imagined it happening in a certain way. When we started jamming in the room, the song morphed into something completely different, completely unexpected and a lot better than I ever imagined it being."

Epic Records held a contest in which the participants had to identify all of the icons shown in the video (there was a list of names and silhouettes given and you had to match them) and they had the chance to win copy of the album Revelations, as well as a guitar signed by the band.

"Original Fire" has a strange guitar solo that Tom Morello describes as "monkey laughter." He performs this solo by setting his DOD Equalizer, deploying his wah-wah pedal, depressing his whammy bar to make the strings slack and slapping the strings against the pickups, although, as shown in the music video, the same effect can be achieved by rapidly loosening and tightening the tuning peg if the guitar does not have a whammy bar. Tom later went on to jokingly describe the solo as an "ATROCITY".

A music video for "Original Fire" was also shot, and premiered on Yahoo! Music. The video was directed by Paul R. Brown (who was the director of videos for bands like Stone Sour, Otep and Mötley Crüe) and reflected on the lyrics of the song, "The original fire has died and gone, but the riot inside moves on." It featured the band playing with images of figures that are inspirational to the band, such as Johnny Cash, Martin Luther King Jr., Che Guevara, Chuck D, The Clash, Bob Dylan, Wendy O. Williams, Peter Tosh, Jello Biafra, Bill Hicks, Lenny Bruce, Jim Morrison, the Million Man March, Andy Warhol, Ozzy Osbourne, Janis Joplin, Joey Ramone, Randy Rhoads, Malcolm X, Glenn Danzig, Sonic Youth, Iggy Pop and Nelson Mandela. "The video, in some ways, is about the thread of music and cultural figures with integrity that were important parts of our history – how all those streams flow together to where we are today," Morello explained.
